you could probably find a job teaching english. i taught english in ukraine (kyiv) during the madian revolution in 2014. i think there are forums for ESL companies. english is a really important skill, especially in ukraine so people can achieve more economic mobility. when i was teaching in kyiv, i was able to go to the protests in the city center but i didnt volunteer or anything like that. i was politically neutral, and also depending on where you are, you should make it your goal to speak both russian and ukrainian.
