What words or phrases do you repeat repeatedly?

I repeat a word and a phrase, but without oralizing them. I think them to myself repeatedly, especially in the mornings, when I get up, when I go to breakfast, and when I am nervous.

    Would that be echolalia too?

Not sure, but if you’re controlling yourself to prevent it, then maybe? It sounds like the overall phenomena is fundamentally related to obsessive thought patterns.

I similarly have a collection of numbers and phrases that I will repeat, generally in moments of stress or to ward off intrusive thoughts. I can perform these inwardly as well, though I prefer to oralize if the situation allows.

I think palilalia may fit better.

Varies, day by day. A word will attach itself to me for a day or a week. Usually words that follow an internal rhythm. The last one was “Bellingcat”

Wait, should you always have echolalia or can it just start and stop randomly? I currently don’t remember any words, but they are usually words from random songs, that sound weird.

Well, I’m interested if echolalia happens daily or occasionally? I’ll come back to this post if I remember some words from the past or I start with some new words.
