If you want to see what’s going on right now you can go to your all feed and set it to the most recent posts. Also has a bunch of other sorting options. Like hot and active.
Is there a way to see recent popular posts? That’s like the only thing missing for me.
No, mastodon is for following people or specific communities… it is specifically NOT for listening to or speaking to the whole world.
