Sorry to hear that, I genuinely hope the situation you experience improves soon. While I agree poorer people are also disadvantaged here, I do not think that this particular instance is keeping the poor out. I think it is about gathering more data of people. In fact, many free services harvest data from people who cannot afford / do not want to pay for non/less data hoarding services (email, search, vpn, etc).
