Gnome has really good looking news readers like newsflash and gfeeds also looks neet. Meanwhile we have akregator which doesn’t look all that good. Currently I’m using fluent reader but it doesn’t integrate into the theme. I have really high hopes with kirigami and plasma 6 and looking forward to kde news reader!

Akregator is part of KDE PIM, not Plasma. Maybe it will be ported to Qt6/KF6 but the average user won’t be able to notice the difference.
