        I’ve a fairphone and the gave me a screwdriver and a manual for it. They’ll also continueaking parts for it well into the future.

    Anti consumer practices are inherent to capitalistic motives. The longer a product exists, the stronger the pressure is to make it less repairable and shorter-lasting.

    Right to repair is luckily starting to catch up… not sure why it isnt happening more quickly though

    a lot of US brands are just assholes: the likes of hp and all. german subscription ridden cars (and vw cars with ignition keys, in premium models ?). and my french brandt washing machine that requires a fishing line so i could open the stuck door. each country has its stupid brands. japan have the least of those i guess.
