I can’t remember which American jingoism movie it was about Iraq, but it had a scene like this.

The brown people are like, “You Americans are only here to take our oil!”

And the bootlicking soldier was like, “No, we’re here to make you rich.”

And while it sounds cool at the time, that was a load of BS.

And then after it’s rebuilt, with schools and human rights never seen before, the military trained by the best with the best equipment, they’ll fold like a cheap, suit, instantaneously, when rapists and thugs drive in with Toyotas and AKs. Everything got much much worse for the civilians.
