Really, that’s all. Going through the despair-shaped ringer again after seeing photos of a friend who told me she still masks every day unmasked at a sporting event with her team across the world in Europe right now. I need to know there are still people out there who care, and I need them in my world. There’s not much of it left.

I still N95 everywhere. We ignored the science of climate change at our peril, fuck no I’m not listening to the right-wingers on covid and masking. The masking people IRL are still the best people I know, they actually give a shit about Palestine and the poverty around them.

DM me if you want to hang out on Discord.

I am so immensely thankful I found people to live with who Get It. I appreciate you. I am sorry the world is like this.

Hi yes, I’ve had similar experiences lately. I really need to get in with local mask blocs or something and build a friend group that’s fine with masking everywhere, and even while hanging out.

I’m still here and caring and right there with you wondering if anyone out there still cares. I guess we’ve got each other. I just wish the people I love and care for also cared. I get treated like I’m insane not just for my covid precautions, but for not doing the things I can’t do due to my disability. Things I wouldn’t be able to do even if covid didn’t happen. It’s like covid brought to surface and ableism that mostly existed in hushed terms (and don’t get me wrong, that ableism is as old as time, not implying it’s a new thing).

Totally get it, friend. Recently had a conversation with one of my close friends who took pretty much had the same level of caution as me, but finally took the line and said he isn’t going to stop living his life, he’s vaccinated, yada yada yada. It’s extremely disheartening.
