First time in my life. It’s been a week now, the employer is not talking to us, and the workplace is closed.
The solidarity is amazing. I’ve never felt closer to my coworkers. People are mad and it’s beautiful.

Was there anything that prompted the push to strike? Or did you just try to certify as a union and get rebuffed?
We’ve been unionized for a while. The latest contract negotiations simply stalled and we voted down their final offer, which was a plate full of shit. A tale as old as time lol
