No, I am fully aware that this war has been raging for a decade… but the annexation of Crimea was as unprovoked as anything else that Putin has done. It’s just that when you 8 years later start to move the goalpost to include “Military Special Operations” and not calling it what it was from the start… well then you got some ‘splainin to do.

I would rather have the one that presents the claims also back them with verifiable evidence, is that to much of an ask? That is how the scientific method usually works and I can’t see why we can’t apply it in this case.

Yes and that’s exactly why you got smacked with that Mao quote. Go learn instead of regurgitating propaganda the mainstream media feeds you, we’ve heard it all a thousand times.

I mean. If your debilitating porn addiction leaves you with any spare time of course. We’ve all got our priorities.

Ok, so I have to admit… I skimmed the quote and missed the great wisdom of looking at the past and present… correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Russia promise not to touch Ukraine if they handed over their nuclear weapons? But sure, things change… holding up one’s end of the deal hasn’t really been on the agenda for Russia, UK, US or most of the “great” nations of the world.

I think you need to do some more investigating. The core cause of this conflict is and always has been NATO and the West.

The entire point of NATO was to counter the USSR and deprive other nations of the freedom to choose their own economic system and force their own (capitalism). When the USSR fell, instead of dissolving as they’d lost their purpose, they continued to expand (and this was after they had promised not to) eastward, eventually threatening to reach Russia’s borders.

You see, the West has always wanted to punish Russia for their 1917 Revolution, by breaking up the country and dividing it up amongst themselves like they did with the Middle East (which also is partially why there’s conflict in Palestine right now), so of course when their biggest threat to their capitalist world order collapsed they wanted to ensure it’s destruction.

You can Google the rest. The Euromaidan coup, Odessa massacre, Azov Battalion, Stepan Bandera, Minsk Agreements (both Germany and France had admitted that they were there to help Ukraine build their army), there’s a lot of information about this that goes beyond “Russia attacked poor Ukraine in 2022 for no reason”.
