A very simple test of basic morality and ethics. If you think badly of comrade Aaron Bushnell in any way, you are the bad guy, end of story.
That is all.
yes it’s a test of morality and ethics, but claiming it’s “simple” reaches a bit far. there is a whole host of complex misinformation and well-funded propoganda one must evade before coming to this true conclusion.
i agree with your rhetorical goals, i am just certain their are better ways of identifying decent people haha
I mean, we don’t all need to self-immolate to be a decent person, but it’s like how John Brown became a litmus test in the Pre-Civil War era. Was John Brown right or wrong? Only horrendous people believed what he did was morally wrong. Aaron Bushnell might serve a similar purpose in the modern era.
I don’t listen to the news cause I have the big tism. I just read the BBC’s report on Aaron and found it quite neutral in tone, though obviously the acts themselves are self-evidently heroic. Can you dish the deets on what lies are being told about him? I wanna hear what the assholes are saying.
Neutral in tone or passive tone?
I think minimally qualifying as “neutral” (if such a thing is possible) would require publishing his words before lighting himself on fire verbatim. Or publishing the video before it becomes graphic.
