Just a friendly reminder to readers that imaginary numbers are a specific mathematical term. And does not have a colloquial meaning here.
I always preferred to call them complex numbers, since the name “imaginary” strikes me as odd, even if one can only measure the “real” part in many instances. A good comment to make though!
