Are you voting for genocide and climate apocalypse or genocide and climate apocalypse?

Congratulations. You have simplified complex politics too such a degree that it fits in your narrative. First off, I don’t vote in this case, because I’m not American. Second, I still would vote for the person who didn’t try a fucking insurrection.

…but would vote for someone committing a genocide? I think your balance is a bit off there

Slavery was abolished in the US in the year 1865

People in 1864: “Hey bro, you are aware of US Politics, right? You know that the US has always had slaves, right???”

Also one minor nitpick, slavery is alive and well in the US, it was never abolished. You guys will figure it out some day.

True, it’s still very much practiced in US prisons. Should’ve specified “officially” ig.

Prison slavery is very official. It’s carved out as legal in the constitution, and it is pretty out in the open. The main thing is that we use a bunch of euphemisms to make the slavers and beneficiaries feel less bad about themselves, but they don’t hide it.

No worries, not my country either so I honestly don’t know what I’d do in that situation. Third party probably.

Only real option in the US (and most capitalist countries tbf) is joining a leftist org outside the system that aims to take control over it altogether like FRSO or PSL imo. Aka educate, organize, agitate.

Capitalist political systems are designed to prevent any leftward movement (if anyone in power does try to, like JFK for wanting to abolish the CIA and giving an anti-colonial speech, they are assassinated and replaced), so working inside it is mostly meaningless. They can only shift further to the right.
