    Has any company ever just gotten going and announced “Yeah, we’re going to get you nice and settled in, then start with maybe promoted posts, then naybe ad banners for a bit and then…bam! Interstitial ads! We’re gonna make bank!”

    Of course they say they won’t.

    Why would I trust anything a CEO says? Their entire purpose is to make unpopular decisions, then carry all the blame away with them under their golden parachute, allowing another CEO to step in to be the next scapegoat.
