About 20 years ago, when my friends and I were in our late teens, and still used the phone to call each other, we played a game called the poop game.

The goal of the poop game was to call a friend while pooping and mask the fact that you’re pooping entirely throughout the call. You could earn a point by successfully masking a poop call. Or earn a point by calling someone out their failure to hide a poop call. You could lose a point for incorrectly calling out a poop call.

Whenever you finish the phone call wherein you were pooping, it was customary to send a text message that just said pooping. Or you got pooped on. Or something like that.

One friend pulled off a group phone call on Thanksgiving. Got like five of us and none of us figured it out. All at once. It was epic.

He sent a text following up, “Happy poopsgiving motherfuckers.”

From then on, his phone would suggest poopsgiving whenever he would type the letter p. Like he had awakened some young child humor bank in the phone, and whenever he might possibly be typing it it would get excited and suggest it.
