In terms of the bar to entry, Cuba would probably be easiest for me. I’m learning Spanish atm so I’d have a leg up when it comes to integrating with the locals. Besides, it’s a gorgeous island.
In terms of where I’d most like to try living though? Absolutely China. In terms of the scope of what there is to see and do, China probably can’t be beat. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t fantasised about dropping everything to go study applied Marxism with the United front work department. If nothing else, I’d get to see exactly how the communist party of China carry out their work with my own eyes.
