Anything good?
I’m hoping to get some time to play Return of the Obra Dinn if I could get any significant amount of time blocked off to game.

I got started with Death Stranding, since it was available for free on the Epic Games store recently. I’m definitely positively surprised by the storyline and how well-made the character models/animations are. The walking/balancing gameplay is a bit more annoying than I anticipated, though!

Hehe, cool to hear! I barely played Metal Gear (only a tiny bit on Nintendo 3DS, I believe), but I’m also curious to try out Metal Gear Solid V with its open-world and experimental gameplay. Definitely fits this Patient Gamers community, as MGSV is even older than Death Stranding…

Haha, thanks a lot! That’s a lot of interesting input that I’ll keep in mind when approaching the Metal Gear series! And yes, in general I enjoy the complex storylines and not being able to understand everything immediately. I actually once saw an attempt of a summary of the Metal Gear storyline on YouTube and enjoyed how ridiculously complex and convoluted it is. It’s a shame there was some drama around Kojima/Konami, but it’s also good that Kojima found a way to keep going and stay creative. :)
That one was a big surprise since it was my first Kojima game and I have to say, it did a big impression on me and kept me thinking about it for weeks after I had finished it. I agree, the walking/balancing is something you need to get used to, but after that it totally adds to the immersion. Also, there will be other means of transportation later on. They all come with their pros and cons. I envy you a little, this is a game where I’d like to wipe my memory and start all over again. Have a great time!
