So you would call waging a proxy war and supplying weapons in order to keep alive a conflict that will cost thousands of Ukranian lifes “help”?

It worked for us Finns. Swedes gave us a shitload of weapons and volunteer fighters in 1939 and now we’re free, independent, democratic and prosperous. Sometimes I wonder if a part of our high ranking in the happiness index is from having perspective of how things could be. One only needs to look east. Your deliberate mischaracterization won’t find much reception anywhere with a free press.

Great idea, maybe start asking the attacking side to stop, instead of blaming the victims for their self-defence?

Thank you for the sanity, can’t believe people are trying to defend Russia after everything that’s happened.

Russian tradition would be to name these people “useful idiots”. Putin’s regime is very effective at playing the misguided soviet-nostalgia and anti-imperialism for it’s own, purely imperialistic, gains.

@DerPapa69 The alternative to Ukrainians laying down weapons and accepting the denazification sounds even worse for them. They are really determined to fight and eager to get their lands back at any cost.

And as a Romanian, I cannot condemn them myself either for that - we had our own portion of land that was ripped away by Moscow (yes, I am referring to Moscow in order to simplify things, since it’s the same leadership, roughly) and we never got it back to this day.

And by land I do not mean only the land as you would imply, but also the inhabitants there. Would you agree for a foreign power to literally rip away parts of your country due to it not agreeing with your government and forcefully assimilating people there?
