Despite all of my ridicule and naysaying, the Washington Capitals are currently one point out of a playoff spot. I did not foresee this.
I still think they’re going to ultimately fall short, and I still think it’s a bad thing for the franchise in the long-term to be in this sort of spot but…give the players credit here, they’ve given themselves a shot.
I’d like to see them make it anyway. Good experience for the young guys and maybe we could try to make a little more progress next year. With that said, the odds are against us making it in.
