This reminds me of the Romanian neofascist on Reddit who seriously argues that the Third Reich was ‘antifa’ because the Reich lethally purged some self‐identified fascists in 1934. Everything that you learned is immediately invalidated by that. Anticommie infighting = antifascism. If that won’t convince, I don’t know what will convince you!
The most consistent way to sniff out a fascist (of any kind) is to find a blatant contradiction. Fascism lives and dies in contradictions.
