What’s your favorite Magic edition?

Do you play Magic (or just collect)?

Or do you collect Magic cards beyond playing?

I took notice of Magic relatively late, when I was too old to find playing partners. (As a teen I played pen & paper RPG.) I was a lot older than the teenies who played it. I got fascinated by the beautiful pictures on the cards. First I didn’t understand the rules. I found them complicated. (But in fact the core rules are simple, as I know now.)

I like Ravnica, because of the mixing of colours. I like white/blue. Also I like the art of the Ravnica land cards. But other sets and cards are beautiful, too.

I think no other trading card game has such beautiful art.

I must admit I haven’t heard of MTG & D&D crossover before. I love the Forgotten Realms. So I will take a closer look. I see there is a Drizzt card! :) I hope there is an Elminster card, too.

Yeah, the rules have changed a bit over the years, now are more complex than when it started and I think it is the most complex one among the card games out there [for example Hearthstone is super simple in comparison].

I agree, the art is gorgeous and I love how exists a ludo-narrative aspect in the game. For example, black decks generally have cards that can resurrect creatures from the graveyard, whites heal, etc. I know this is not always the case but it is what happens generally.

I think the crossover deck was released a couple o days ago, so it makes sense if you haven’t heard of it yet.
