I flat out had an FBI agent angeringly deadpan “Pedophilia isn’t illegal” when I came at them with evidence of someone who was going to be an issue, and if I didn’t have the anonymity of the internet (and if I wasn’t also in a position to blow their cover) they would have used their position of power to retaliate against me for the gall of wasting their time.
