Because I only use web, on mobile and desktop. I can’t live without adblock.

    Long time Joey for Reddit user and the thought of having to experience reddit without it is not something I’m willing to do. I got over a decade from the site, and despite never spending any money there, I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

      wasn’t that the developer that baited and switched his app from free to grow the base and then turned it into an ad ridden app with expensive upgrade to get rid of ads?

      The irony of now reddit doing the same for him. 🤣🤣

        Are you thinking of Apollo? If so, the app was never free. Well, it was free to download, but you had to unlock the Pro level to be able to post, which was worth every penny because it’s a legitimately great app.

        He later introduced an Ultra level behind a subscription, which had access to other QoL features that didn’t really affect general Reddit usage. None of the levels have any advertising beyond him occasionally (once, maybe twice a year) putting up a banner to alert users to any seasonal discounts he was offering.

        Ignore my ranting…
