Again, how do you have not defined what having “too much power” means. You simply say that Xi has more power than his predecessors. The CPC made a decision to remove term limits and elect Xi for a third term. This should not be surprising in any way given that he has proven himself to be an effective leader and the world is entering a time of turbulent times. Having stable leadership is clearly desirable in such a scenario.
More power than his predecessors is too much power imo. They did not need more power to rule the country. Also, there is no immediate need for power concentration. I do not like it when I see it my country because I know that either this power will be abused immediately or by the successor.
We do not want it that way for China. It makes Chinese power more fragile. Xi may die as he’s already old. And because, there is no clear successor, it is a threat to the Chinese leadership. Or, Xi’s successor might be a power-greedy authoritarian leader.
That’s right, there’s finally a world power to put the west in its place.

And I disagree with your opinion. There very clearly is an immediate need for power concentration given that US is openly talking about suppressing the development of China and even an open war with China to prevent China from surpassing US.
I also don’t know where you have got the information that there is no clear successor or that one can’t be elected exact same way Xi was elected.
Seems to me that you may be projecting what we’re seeing in western systems onto China.
