You may think I’m crazy to want to go back on that hell, and maybe you’re right, but there are some communities I want to interact with, yet I am perma banned from there (no fault of my own, but another story) soooooo, how do I circumvent my ban? I already tried but I think they ipbanned me because the new account got instabanned

    While I personally would never go back if I got banned, because fuck Reddit, here are a few tips if you’re determined:

    1. Use a different browser. Like, completely different not just incognito mode. Reddit fingerprints browsers so they would know it’s you.

    2. Use a VPN, preferably one with a software interlock that disables internet access outside the VPN so you don’t leak your real IP. This is often called “internet killswitch” in their branding.

    3. Use an open source Reddit app along with your VPN. Not the official app. Slide for Reddit is a good one. Again, this has to do with Reddit identifying your means of access.

    4. Optional: Use the Tor browser which is like a more secure, fully integrated version of steps 1 and 2.

    Though with using Reddit through both VPN and especially Tor, expect a ton of captchas and “you’re doing that too much, try again in x minutes” messages.
