Although ChatGPT is a revolutionary product, Google is also aware of threats from A.I. to its own business and could be working to protect its revenues.
Oh, for sure. They even have their own chatbot called LaMDA. Trouble is, reports are saying that it’s not as good as ChatGPT and Google knows this. Right now they’re in panic mode.
Did you try it? I’m still in the waiting list so I can’t say that but that’s what I thought.
However, chatgpt is open so they could just train it, adopt it and offer it in their search too.
Not sure what’s going on.
And I’m not sure I’d want to see the power of google in the AI field.
If I tried LaMDA? No, truth be told, I only found out about it when ChatGPT blew up. The reason I said it’s not as good as ChatGPT is because that’s what most articles I find online are saying: ChatGPT delivers information in a plainer, clearer way than anything on the market right now.

It might not be as good as ChatGPT, but there was that amusing anecdote about the google engineer who thought LaMDA was sapient.
That looked like an ad to promote lambda but no public release followed that ad…
