Why look at community when you can look at the games themselves?
Look at HoI4 DLC about USSR, whatever it was called. It literally has “Stalin’s paranoia” mechanic where he goes more insane over time and starts doing random weird shit just because.
Fucking shit, are they trots or what? The trailer was good.
On a side note, there 's this “Spectre of Communism” game with cool animated steam avatars of Stalin, Molotov, Rokossovski, etc. But the first cutscene was vomit inducing.
…at the same time, before that DLC if you never did Stalin’s purges an actual trot counter-revolution occurred and you could get Trotsky himself returning from Mexico. They are sending mixed signals, but you know… No doubts about them being overall shit.
I always thought Paradox was a reactionary company. Especially after looking at the abhorrent HoI4 community. This seems like a nice change of pace.
