Modern psychiatry is a pseudoscientific institution used by the bourgeois to promote an “ideal” person and legitimize the health consequences of capitalism.
Psychiatrists diagnose anyone that doesn’t conform to the capitalist society as abnormal and in need of fixing. They then attempt to use therapies or drugs to achieve this solution.
Neurotypical = Placid capitalist bootlicker happy in their Stockholm syndrome.
Neurodivergent = not the above
Obviously neurodivergence is a thing, however disability regarding neurodivergence is where the propaganda seeps in i feel.
Autism is considered a disability because the reasonable adjustments needed to help autistic workers flourish cut into profit margins initially or change the system in ways that capitalists don’t like.
Instead of workplaces making changes to systems accommodate neurodivergent workers (which would in the long run probably make them more money) autistic and other neurodivergent comrades are considered disabled and not capable of working.
If our system was designed in a way to allow people to work around and within their means, i think we’d see a very different approach to not only mental health and neurodivergence but disability in general.
