Всем привет от кипрского антивоенного движения. Мы ищем площадку для дискуссий. Телеграм уже переросли, в чатах невозможно общаться. Хочется что-то типа d3/хабра/реддита с ветками обсуждений и голосованием за комментариями. Присматриваюсь к движку Лемми.
Как думаете, подойдёт для создания сообщества с острыми обсуждениями?

I would hope that lemmy works just as well as reddit. Though I don’t know if reddit or lemmy is the right type of platform and possibility of conversation that you are looking for. Might be though. I would be very happy to see a new server in the fediverse :)

Hmm, I don’t know. Lemmy is still pretty heavily being developed, maybe back then downvotes were implemented in a different way or not available at all?

It has been working for a while :) You can always also hover over the number and see how many up- and downvotes a post got. Works for posts too, not just replies.

I think the admins discussed it, a positive number was what they wanted. So default 0 doesn’t look good. Default +1 works fine, implemented as you automatically liking your own post ^^
by default downvotes are only shown when there’s a non-zero number of them

could be the fact that you’re viewing it from mobile or from some niche browser that doesn’t support some new web standards
i for example can’t see downvotes and upvotes separately on mobile, only the sum of the two 🤷♀️, try with a desktop browser ;)
