The five-day strike, which began on Friday and closed Starbucks cafes in Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle, will expand to Columbus, Denver, and Pittsburgh through Saturday.
@eldavi@cyu my general advice is not to push back with pro-union talking points, but sit down and try to dig into why they’re anti-union. When they give you an answer, dig down a little deeper, after 4 or 5 “why is that?” or “can you expand on that?” or “what do you mean by X?” you can get to the root of the matter, and it’s probably not whatever they’re telling you the first time you ask. From there you have a *specific* thing to counter, and then replace that kernel with something else.
are you aware of any talking points i can use to push back on my family and friends that are anti-union starbucks employees?

@eldavi @cyu The 80/20 rule applies: listen 80% of the time, talk 20% and you’ll be much more likely to change their mind. Good luck!
