Do you want me to be dishonest about what my impression is? Ofcourse it’s horrible. But war is forcing soldiers into chaos where they can die at any moment. They may have fractions of a second to evaluate whether a person is an enemy or civilian. It is irrational to expect that they are going to be perfect. And that is what this communicates to me. Because of the extreme condition, they end up killing civilians. Because of warmongering, we turn soldiers into murderers.
I thought this community looked interesting, but it appears that I am at odds with the community. I don’t want to create friction for it’s sake in itself, so I’ll just engage in other communities instead. No hard feelings.
Deeply upsetting, but I wouldnt call them a war criminal. If the soldier reckognized that the woman were a civilian, then I would agree.
He literally murdered a woman holding a baby. What is wrong with you?

Its notable that your compassion only extends to the imperialist footsoldier murderer, not to the Iraqi woman and child.
It’s pretty abhorrent that you assume I have no compassion for civilians living in warzones.
