    From a scientific perspective, they’re still important, to verify earlier results and help discount individual outlier results. But also because it is not a given that these results continue to be true forever. Different demographics or changes in our standards of living might cause different results, or having more diverse data might reveal further potential correlations to look at.

    Having said all that, if you’re not a scientist, it is your right to be bored by that, which is why they’re rarely reported on.
