I… kinda am. I’ve been one since the 2000s although I first liked the OT before sort’ve liking the prequels. I get that in many ways the franchise has sold out, but I like the new content.

Minus the ST, of course.

Anyone interested in The Bad Batch? Or The Mandalorian? Maybe that Boba Fett show coming out?

Very late to the party, but I’m having a great time reading my way through many of the books I never did while growing up! The (tragically unfinished) Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss was surprisingly good, and there is even a game tie-in (though I have yet to play it).

But on the whole, the ST has pushed me to check out the Expanded Universe from the 80s and 90s. The X-Wing series by Michael Stackpole has been good fun so far. I’m also hoping to get a copy of Dark Empire to read, just for the novelty of it.

Despite the mis-handling by Disney, I tentatively am still looking forward to Kenobi, which should release this year. I liked The Bad Batch!

Do you mean the Legacy of the Force series? Or the later ones in the Republic Commando line?

Her later works (like the last 5 years of her writing books for Star Wars).

She was also quite, err, vocal about Clones being Mando-wannabes and outright hating the Jedi’s guts, among other issues that permeated her writing, which didn’t fit in with the general canon.

She’s also quite reactionary. But yes, she apparently did good work with Republic Commando from what others have told me.

I see! Thanks for the tip!

Despite the contrast with how Mandalorians are portrayed in The Clone Wars (which is the canon version as I understand it), her vision of Mandalorians seems not only to mesh better with KOTOR, but be culturally richer.
