A clock and a gold fish are going to have a better trading records than you can ever hope for. Any country the US sets up a pier near, will have no choice but to deal with the local government. In no universe, will that not be the case. If not, that pier is Israeli territory! They can land troops there and just say, Thank you!. And there is not much the US could do. So cooperation with Israel is key to making this precedent work. Might be quite the show watching the US try to do humble
