Drake, one of the most commercially successful musicians in the past 15 years, released a song where he says he wouldn’t answer a call from a woman because she was calling him from an android. That song came out just 6 months ago (Oct 2023) and was number one on the charts. A ton of young people will have heard that and been influenced on some level by it, so the Apple fanboy/android hater thing probably won’t be going away any time soon
