Tbh I would take the plunge and get it.
It’s an incredibly ‘Adult’ Final Fantasy with an amazing story. The action is slightly repetitive at the begining but as you get stronger going through the story you end up with more powers than you know what to do with (fortunately there is a highly customisable training mode to try out your new powers and come up with a skill set that suits you!).
I’m pretty sure this game will win Game of the Year awards!

I play Uno on my PS5 after a long and intense session to wind down.

I got bored at the begining but after a few months of having nothing else to play I gave it another go, pushed through until the story went to the island and I got absolutely engrossed.

There is a demo if you want to try before you buy. Your progress carries onto the main game, too.
It’s definitely worth a go, it’s an incredible game and worth every reward it gets.

Great write up! I feel the same way and I’m more upset that choice is being taken away from us. I’ve always loved Bethesda games and I was so excited for Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 on PS5 (especially with haptics!) and now I have to convince the wife that having ANOTHER bulky box under the tv is important…wish me luck!
