That’s actually a really apt analogy, it’s like running at a cheetah’s pace everywhere except sometimes you trip over your own feet. I can’t count the number of times as a kid I would start daydreaming or get impatient when people are talking to me because I already figured out what their point was 20 seconds ago

  • Nothing against watchdogs, it has props as the only game out there that even attempts to make an open world out of my city (looking at you GTA)

But having started with WD2 and eventually going to WD, it’s a bit of a rough game . The missions get very repetitive, the plot is lackluster and Aiden Peirce has the personality of a cardboard box. I think the kicker for me was them replacing the bean with the “forever sculpture”

Honestly though, if you loved it, good on you, it was a new game with interesting new mechanics at the time, but I would say the general concensus is it could have been better than it was

Holy fuck, this is one thing I don’t miss about reddit, people are so willy nilly with the down votes and don’t even explain why, I had to go back recently to ask a jewelery subreddit about information on buying something and my post and every comment got bombed even though I was being polite AF. On Lemmy, people will argue with you sure, but rarely will you just find you’ve got zero on your post unless you were outwardly being an ass
