They shouldn’t be concerned about “playing magic” and other stuff like that they should be concerned about winning

idk playing for some lore reason or whatever seems boring to me the point of the game is to win. And when I tried playing it’s not always even the hyper competitive decks but I like stuff like mass land destruction and prison. But they players don’t want any interaction refuse to play boseiju,fow or any of the cards to defend themselves from others decks. They just want to police what you play they want to force you to play what their useless deck that ramps for 6 turns before even pretending to do anything and anything that interacts with them in ANY way is toxic because they don’t even want to play just win themselves with no opposition to feel good about their shitty deck. Like you want to play mono green ramp but I can’t destroy your lands, kill your creates or counter your spells? That seems fair

It’s only the commander players that suck. Players who play real formats don’t have the same problems

But the point of magic is not be D&D. In my opinion D&D is a terrible game because the rules are arbitrary and you’re supposed to sit there and hallucinate or something. What makes mtg a good game is that there are concrete rules and a clear objective, if you have arbitrary nonsense like rule 0 and aren’t even supposed to win then you might as well just not play, the whole point is to win like I don’t get it

The most fun format is legacy not commander? Strategically complicated, the only strategy there is is how good your deck can be before the opponent starts crying, people literally don’t even want you playing a good deck or trying to win there’s no strategy just shuffling cards around

Everyone I’ve played with plays stupid decks that need a million mana to function and when I destroy their gredy manabase with no basics they cry like a 3 year old instead of just playing counter spells or somerthing

If it was voluntary and a flat amount it would be fair, you might like it because it benefits you but it’s completely ridiculous for a billionaire who doesn’t event want to use these insufficient services

“by the people” you mean the government they’re not on your side. Also you were paying for it inderectly through the ridiculous taxes without even realising it. And the situation would be better if it wasn’t an overegulated industry

Ther’s no competition if you have a bureaucrats approving only specific train lines if you just live it to the free market it’ll be alright

Companies actually have to make their customers happy, if there is adequate competition it will definitely work out, if you look at almost any industry (that isn’t overegulated) the customers are satisfied, companies have real insentives governments don’t.

The reason people don’t use public transport is because right now it absolutely sucks in most places if you want more people to use them then they need to be privatised so a business that actually has an insentive to provide a good service can take over and make them great ( for example look at Japan). This way you can also lower taxes a bit which is great for the economy
