It’s the only console I have (steam deck doesn’t count), and now that I have a lot of free time while commuting, I’m playing some classics that I missed when they released :)

Fortunately, my trusty DSTT card is alive and kicking.

If you look at the right side of the trashcan, you can see the normal pattern disappear: it only has lines going one way. Also, no moiré pattern or whatever you would expect on the top part, where it should intersect with the net on the back side, vs the bottom where it doesn’t.

My verdict? Either lots of postprocessing fuckery going on, or outright AI generated image. One can’t tell these days.

Do they come with a lifetime guarantee too? Because it’d be next to impossible for most working class people to spend that kind of money on a fridge; but even if they could, do they have a guarantee that it’s not going to be broken trash in 5/10/20 years like a cheaper fridge?

If you spend 400€ at least you know you can afford to buy a new one when/if it breaks.

I think by the “center line” they mean the 0º angle of the polar diagram, but the wording could definitely be better. I’m sure about it though, cause the capsule is oriented towards the front of the mic (where the “samson” logo and the led indicator are).

Sorry, but this is just wrong. All mics of this type I know of are oriented towards the grill, not towards the bar, I don’t know where you got that info from.

Just to really make sure, you can check on this disassembly video (around the 6 minute mark) that the capsule is oriented towards the grill, and you’ll get the least pickup from the bar (which is the side).

Well, technically the least pickup is behind the bar and not straight, but you’ll get very muddy sound from the side anyways, since you lose most high frequencies.
