Customers frequently don’t know what they want, or even how to say it. So I spent 5 minutes looking for a Greek spice ziitar when they were looking for an arabic/north Africa spice Zaatar that is in the world food section.

Imagine a robot trying to decipher this, especially when many people have accents as well, or they just show you a picture of a thing. I can work it out, it takes a little to time. The robot would also be useless because our store carries like millions of things and has at one point carries most things but it’s a luck of the draw if we currently carry something. So ask a robot, do you carry tahini sauce? Yes we do, we currently have 0 at negative 1 dollar located in section not found. Because that’s all the computer is going to say for like 90% of the tahini stuff we carry since we’ve switched brands a dozen times and they all are still stores there even though we haven’t carried many for over a decade.

Yeah but now he has merchandise… So everything he does is just a promotion to sell more of the crap that makes him money. Like his shitty chocolate bars that sell for three times the price of a Nestle or Cadbury chocolate bar. Chocolate is like the ultimate sin food. I responded that the Nordic country that implemented no measures and simply let covid rip through them (maybe it was Sweden??) has simply seen more deaths than its European neighbours who did mask and quarantined and such. So the idea of immunity debt by failing to catch a disease isn’t really panning out in reality.

Of course now we see people regularly catching covid like 2 or 3 times a year, and every study just keeps getting bleaker about what that’s doing to a body with each infection.

This is all 100% accurate I will concur. But in Alberta the Indian immigrants are mostly accepted but Sudanese and Asian (chinese specifically but anyone who looks Asian gets lumped in unless they have flawless better than Canadian English) get a huge amount of flak for showing up and taking our jobs that we refuse to do; mostly cleaning, meat packing, warehouse and trucking work. In fact some of the most racist to immigrants are people who moved most recently here and form the new recruits for the conservative party. It’s like the “fuck you got mine” gets pumped into them when they clear customs or something.

To have such a strong government response seems so alien and foreign that I can’t help but dream for Chinese invasion.

In my experience I don’t know too many (but I do know some) who believe Alberta would stand a chance as an independent nation. But leaving the cities is like travelling into warzone of conservative ideas that just have been percolating into these highly virulent strains that divorce them from all reality. The government literally fucks them over with every decision and they just applaud until they realize they have to go to the doctor and the nearest one is Edmonton or Calgary because who the fuck want to be a small town doctor in Alberta?

They are, no watering outside at all. With strongly worded messages from our liberal mayor to please please reduce your household water usage, maybe don’t flush after every piss, have a short sub 5 minutes shower, and don’t wash your clothes or your dishes during the peak afternoon and evening hours. Reports of people ignoring it to wash their car. With of course the number 1 comment on the Reddit being “gosh oh boy we gonna have a lot of dirty cars in the city” like that is the big issue during a water crisis, that our cars look dusty… I can’t even with these people.

The fact Danielle Smith can manage to win here is kind of evident that the democratic process is so fundamentally useless with our current media apparatus not only fails but exists to help people like her get elected. Disgusting and I cannot pray enough for xi to liberate our country as a foothold on the continent before freeing america.

Indeed the people around here truly believe in they picked themselves up all by themselves and definitely didn’t get lucky with barely any hard work on their part. Most of my extended family is like this, and soon will performing a knives out scenario when my grandfather passes. Tragically there will be no awesome reveal of all the money has been given to an immigrant. But maybe my aunt’s will contest it in court long enough to bleed it down to nothing.

I have no clue why more people aren’t rioting. Shits bad and there is no hope on the horizon here. Been playing mostly balatro and bits of monster hunter rise on ps5.

I’ve beaten 19 challenges on balatro, but 20 is Jokerless which is so incredibly difficult. Deck manipulation is probably my weakest aspect of the game usually not coming online until ante 5 or 6. So I’m mostly working on beating some gold stake decks.

Monster Hunter rise I’m trying to learn charge blade. I did everything on the switch version with dual blades and light bowgun. So trying to learn this on a fresh file should be fun. Mostly been trying to muscle memory the basic charge, and amp combos into discharges. Early monsters are so annoying for moving around way too much. But it’s fun as always.

It’s going to be Chris Pratt. Guys he’s so cool, there’s no one he can’t voice, and his voiceover will allow civ to really crack the mainstream.
