Didn’t most of those programmers from the 60s and 70s have like, Master’s degrees in mathematics? Computers were massive, expensive machines that were used largely by universities and research facilities - you definitely couldn’t buy your own and teach yourself how to program it like you can now.

I’m not a lawyer, but I think it’s fairly obvious that there’s some sort of disparate impact on trans people happening here. It’s also a form of sex discrimination, but I’m not sure how far that argument would go in court.

This is essentially the reason it was made illegal in Canada to lock phones to carriers and all phones must be sold unlocked. I think the reason we did it is to keep customers from complaining about the rates we pay, though, since we’re one of the most expensive places in the world for cellular service and mobile data charges.

With Western comics, you sort of don’t. You follow specific series with the characters you like, or you obsessively compile reading order lists from various wikis and comic tracking sites that each seem to add more and more issues until you’ve spent way too much time and money.

Reading manga is a lot more straightforward, in my experience. You just read it in order and then check if there are any sequels or spinoffs.
