@merthyr1831 Doesn’t it first start as a DMCA and if the creator chooses to fight it, it could potentially reach a lawsuit? I thought that was how it works?
Hey, I’m Keyboard! OS-tan enthusiast, Linux user, developer, and creator of my Rust kernel OS LUM/MARINER. LUM/MARINER Zed Channel (you may catch me there): https://zed.dev/channel/LUM-MARINER-on-Zed-11861
Also working on a new OSDev project in C and ASM for UEFI… My GitHub can be found in my about tab. I come from Scotland, I’m autistic and I’m slightly crazy when it comes to tech experiments!

@DigitalKrampus @mr_MADAFAKA Honestly, it pisses me off.
The creator shouldn’t have taken it as they just profited off other devs work to avoid an inevitable takedown.
If they didn’t take it, it would still disappear just without fucking the devs over for money.
I think it’s unfair to take away what the devs have worked hard on for money without anything in return to them.
It’s just my opinion and morality though, so please feel free to tell me if I’m wrong here! :D
@mr_MADAFAKA ah, modern day Nintendo… you never cease to disappoint not only me but the entire emulation community.
@merthyr1831 Ah, thanks then. I was originally also following the assumption that the creator got paid off as well… seemed most plausible.
Again, very much appreciated!
