Yes. If I watch too much Terry Davis and think about his life and how it ended so prematurely, I start to tear up. If he had access to proper mental health resources and the help he needed, he could have done even more amazing things. RIP King
long live King Terry
I can’t find a up-to-date number, but would be interested in trying to collect that data. “Deaths by Raytheon, Lockheed,& More” would be an interesting figure to put together to dissuade people from the propaganda put out by defense recruiters. I see it all the time, asking people who choose to work from defense companies how they can ignore the rampant disregard for the fact that their work kills innocent people, only to have them respond with “but the money tho”
I don’t really understand the reason to even do such a thing. If it really is to “protect the IP against foreign powers” like they claim, what can even be done if the patent is violated? If China, Russia, or whoever the US’s villain of the day is, develops a similar advanced craft or weapon what are they going to do? I understand that they prosecute people for selling state secrets but they would never file copyright infringement or patent violations. Who would even uphold those punishments? I see this, and to some extent the AATIP videos, as a “Look what we’re working on” type of soft-declassification to puff out their chest to rival govts or even private defense contractors who keep an eye on news like this.
Ty for sharing this, didn’t realize it was an option
