  • Yeah, agreed that this remains by far the most likely scenario. I guess Switch sales alone are enough for Nvidia to keep going with Tegra, despite finding little use elsewhere.

It’s just been a long time since the first news about T234 (Orin) & T239 came out (mid 2021), with a rumoured & cancelled chip based on Lovelace after that — most likely it was too expensive for Nintendo.

That cancellation left me wondering whether there could be other plans in play. It’s an old chip by now, but that too tracks with Nintendo.

Been reading ホリミヤ (Horimiya) for the first time, just finished volume 2. I haven’t seen the anime, enjoying the ride tremendously so far, especially chapter 13.

Staying up-to-date on 【推しの子】 (Oshi no Ko). Feels like this arc is ending big. Likewise with イジらないで、長瀞さん (Nagatoro).

Can’t wait for the release of スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり (Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You) 3 on next Tuesday. This is currently the manga for me.

Edit: now that I remember, while looking at Jinushi’s other works, I came across this Twitter oneshot called 死なぬ始末に幸来たらん, “a story about a JK knocking off serious misery from an immortal janitor”. Absolutely no idea what the hell that was, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Big middle-finger energy right from the title drop.

  • I’m reading 風の谷のナウシカ (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind) natively, six months after restarting my Japanese studies.

I haven’t read it in English before so I was stunned at how great the artwork is. It’s quite clear Miyazaki’s style is what Ghibli became known for, but here it’s 100% Miyazaki himself.

Tons of absurdly detailed planes, bugs and flora. The Japanese 7 volume set is close to A4 in size, which feels much better than usual manga volumes, if only because there are far more panels per page.

I think the anime has been a decent adaptation, but the manga obviously goes much further than the anime can in a single season.

I’m reading it in Japanese to practice, and it has been quite the challenge — a lot of Buddhist & Taoist language, concepts and terms to learn.
