  • It’s really again just a giant douche vs a turd sandwich, both cards are shit value. 6700x is near the same price new sometimes cheaper on sale and crushes them, i understand Nvidia doing this since their cards have a monopoly but why amd would follow such rediculously high price to performance is beyond me when their ai scene is non existent so they don’t sell many sever GPUs and opencl is shit compared to cuda, meaning their primary target for these releases is consumers. They do have a monopoly imo on apus however, but that’s a different category imo.

  • Integrated graphics also work, if you have those which would technically count as a GPU. If not, I would look into just dualvooting tbh, as imo dual booting had about the same boot speeds as a vm with single GPU passthrough but without any of the quircks and restrictions a VM will have (since with single gpu pass through you can only run the VM or Linux not both at once)

  • Likes:

    • ergonomics: the device is extremely comfortable to use and having full sized joysticks is awesome!
    • controls, I find having trackpads make fps games actually bearable, and I will definitely ensure any handhelds I get in the future have them.

    Dislikes:

    • battery life: pretty simple, in harder emulation and new games less than 2 hours hurts
    • CPU: I find only having a max boost clock even for single core processes (like switch emulation) only going up to 3.5ghz a major limiting factor, I think 3.5ghz is a fine target when all cores are being used but I would have liked to see 4ghz for single / dual core use.
    • weight: the device is heavy enough to where it can’t be used without proping your arms against something which can be a bit of a pain
