The problem is those values are so vague that there’s room for massive disagreement and distrust even if you agree on those values. For example, to a Democrat, “fair enforcement of the law” probably brings up images of black men being killed or mistreated by police. For Republicans, the same phrase brings up images of Donald Trump being indicted while Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Hillary Clinton walk free. There’s not actually common ground there, since the two ideas of how to achieve “fair enforcement of the law” are so wildly different.

RFK Jr. has already hit the point where even if you don’t think he’s a right wing plant, you have to ask yourself that if he is a right wing plant, what would he be doing differently?

Unless they are using their freedom to promote ideas they don’t like, then pass laws to stop them and cancel patriotically boycott them.

The time to do it next would be right before or during the IPO. Mods and users have tipped their hand though. If anyone working at Reddit has even the tiniest bit of foresight, they should see that coming now and have a plan in place to react or preempt it.
