I think so yes
iirc there are some features you will get after buying element home subscription. not to mention matrix also crashes sometimes and quite often you might have to wait for a long time
- Matrix is slow af
- Matrix has less features than aforementioned alternatives, it doesn’t even have proper media sharing code, all embeds stay as it is
- UI is bad, comparatively
- matrix also asks for money for additional features which is not the case for guilded and revolt
- matrix is more like telegram chat than an actual server
