This felt very raw, real, and brutally honest, I applaud Ren for sharing their experience, thoughts and feelings in this format.
Thank you for sharing! I’ve never heard of the artist before but I want to hear more of them now.

I’m sorry to hear about your episode, I hope the time away is helping and that you will feel better soon♥️.
This week I’d like to dive more into the self-help material that I have and to also set a combo of long and short term goals.
Thank you for sharing what personally helps you with your BDD as a male. I’m sure that many others out there still aren’t in the know about the technique, so it’s great on you to try to change that by speaking about it here! What’s more, it’s backed by the experts too, I made sure to bookmark DermNet myself.
Thank you for the shout out too in your post, it makes me happy that the video could help you make your points.
Whoo that sounds kind of thrilling then hehe, definitely will give it a try one of these days!
Oh I see, you must have a good technique as well, I can see how reassuring all those factors are for you, I am glad!
You’re welcome, it’s good to hear that your mood has improved some! 😀
I think that’s a great idea, hope it helps!
To answer your question, I can do about 10 mins if I’m not doing a guided meditation, I’m not sure how long it takes me to do a body scan on my own since I tend to do it around bed time to help me fall asleep.
Maybe you could start with a short meditation like the 5-10 mins ones on Youtube and ease into longer ones if that’s what you’d want. Also you could experiment with different styles of meditation to help find one that’s best suited to you. Personally I’m fond of R.A.I.N and Body Scan Meditation and Yoga Nidra. However you might like a walking meditation or a mantra based one, there are several!
Hello, I’m sorry to hear that BDD has you down, I hope as of today that you’re feeling better.
I was listening to some BDD recoveries stories from the BDD Foundation podcast and they gave me some hope.
Also I did meditation after a long time, it felt really good, too often I forget to be kind to myself.
Go-karting sounds like a lot of fun! Do the vehicles move very fast?
I’m glad your make-up stayed in tact too, seemingly putting you at ease.
For me, there is grief in having to explain to others why I don’t want to go.
I want to eat this! Thank you for sharing the recipe :)
This is beautiful, I feel something like pride recognising some of the communities on this and knowing that communities came together to make this a reality!
That’s great, I’m relieved to hear all of this, you’re most welcome! Should I find anything else that seems legit, I’ll be sure to pass it along.
Oh yes, I know what you mean, what we might see and the voice inside for me at least, clash with what everyone else says, so who to believe?
Confusing indeed but won’t be like this forever once we can start to heal!
Thank you, I’d like that very much and wish that you can feel comfy wearing red some day too 👌
Yes please do, and would you consider adding the https://bddfoundation.org as well?
I visited the resource section of the site and listened to one of the videos by the experts that dealt with coping with visible flaws.
The Q&A segment was informative, made me realise how much BDD has in common with social anxiety and of course there were many helpful tips.
Wearing out anything above the knee is it for me, I’m too self-conscious about my legs.
Sadly this dictates the type of clothing I wear and fuels my dislike of skirts and dresses.
It has, going to the site alone helped me to take the first step of treating this disorder by admitting to myself that it is one.
You’re welcome, I was happy to see the community existing on here.
Hello, I don’t have anything to contribute as yet but I wanted to say thank you for sharing the links to the workbooks!
Glad to hear about your progress and the support you’ve been lent!
Every little bit counts and it shows, you’re getting there in spite of the challenges you face. So, so true. You’re welcome 😊
No worries about the delay, life happens. I’m sorry to hear that your week didn’t go as well as you’d would’ve hoped, this happens to all of us from time unfortunately . I like the steps you’re taking to make things better, so I hope you’re healing with the self-care practises and such.
How are you coming along with the chores? I think it’s great that you set up a reward system for doing them. I like using this strategy myself when I remember to use it. You’re right, you deserve to just be, take care!
This is all very amazing, can’t wait for the insights that this discovery might provide us!
Loved the artist’s illustration as well, it helped paint the picture of what’s happening.
What a terrible way to go, I’m so sorry they were in the wrong place at the time.
