Normally I go first to say a bit about my day but I’m having a bad time with bdd lately so I don’t feel like it sorry.
Hello, I’m sorry to hear that BDD has you down, I hope as of today that you’re feeling better.
I was listening to some BDD recoveries stories from the BDD Foundation podcast and they gave me some hope.
Also I did meditation after a long time, it felt really good, too often I forget to be kind to myself.

Wow I find it so hard to mediate but I love mindfulness. It’s been too hot lately but sitting outside staring into space feels super nice.

To answer your question, I can do about 10 mins if I’m not doing a guided meditation, I’m not sure how long it takes me to do a body scan on my own since I tend to do it around bed time to help me fall asleep.
Maybe you could start with a short meditation like the 5-10 mins ones on Youtube and ease into longer ones if that’s what you’d want. Also you could experiment with different styles of meditation to help find one that’s best suited to you. Personally I’m fond of R.A.I.N and Body Scan Meditation and Yoga Nidra. However you might like a walking meditation or a mantra based one, there are several!
