You are what you post
To get ui/ux suited for Mastodon, the app shouldn’t use e. g. the same interface for Lemmy.
Then the situation is almost the same as using different apps.
When MY first comes out everyone around seems to be a huge fan of it. I thought I was the one who got ancient tastes.
Wheres my borzoi community in threadi
I didn’t expect that “binary”
Elon ruined free speech absolutism like everything before
I used Slide app for reddit which has the same design. It’s not about federation, but the function as a link aggregator. For posts that contain a link, it’s the link’s domain. This post doesn’t cotain a link, so it’s “local” in that sense.
However it could become really confusing when federation is considered. If someone blocked the instance’s domain, the post won’t show up besides it’s supposedly from fedia.io.
Maybe it’s better to use Hacker News’ approach: hide the domain if it’s fedia.io. Show the domain related to federation in magazine name.
I quit there at roughly the same time. It probably goes more right wing & the memes are lower effort. Recently I see it once and it’s just some colored right wing circlejerks.
I think not, if the camera uses a screen to display images it’s essentially the same as an image on our computer/phone, as a bunch of pixels a fixed distance away from our eyes. Change focus point of our eyes can’t unblur an image.
However if there’s a camera that when taking photos the person looks directly into the lens, it will be different. Here the lens funcions as glasses.
The way I see it, it’s like a small world model with layers and emerging hierarchies, instead of being flat.
Better not have an App Hell on your phone!
I mean Comic Mono is mentally relaxing and legible so great font of choice
It’s kbin.social’s issue. I’m on another kbin instance and can’t find them either. Maybe wait for them to turn off CF and try later.
PoliticalCompassMemes.
Fedia’s cool. Admin’s working hard to solve some issues since it’s a new instance but overall good and responsive.
Is the magazine on kbin.social? They have CF stuff turned on.
I’m also thinking about what is the proper way to handle this LLM situation and how should the maybe grown threadiverse react to it. Mastodon actively resisted the attempt of building a central search service but a dataset builder can go stealth.
Yeah I never got the proof of authority thing, pretty ironic
